|Lisa Turner, 3rd Grade Teacher|
Lisa Turner grew up in Chillicothe, OH, but has lived in Winchester since 1990. She received her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, as well as a degree in Bible, from Kentucky Christian University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education from Georgetown College and is state certified to teach grades 1-8. Lisa has over 20 years of teaching experience, which include teaching 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, middle school, art, computer, and music. At Calvary, she has served as a substitute teacher for the past four years and has grown to know and love the students.
When she is not teaching, Lisa works as a makeup artist and loves to work with a variety of other artistic media. She also enjoys playing the piano, recorder, and the sousaphone.
Lisa has a son and daughter who are attending Kentucky Christian University. Wes, will graduate in 2017, with a degree in Youth Ministry and Missions, while Chrissy will be a freshman pursuing a degree in Psychology. Lisa and her family are members of Southland Christian Church, in Lexington.
